FARMING:ORGANIC AND INORGANIC
"Our School Turning Today's Learner into
Tomorrow's Leader
I am really greatfull that i have got this golden opportunity to be a student of P.K.R Jain Vatika Sr.Secondary school. Our school provides us many incentives to excel through creativity.A few days ago ,collage making competition was organised for class 7th and 8th on the topic Organic Farming.
We got an opportunity to participated in english extempore and to prepare and present a PPT on the topic farming. We got a lot to learn from the activities which were organised for us.
We got to know about Organic farming and Inorganic farming, plantation farming ,intensive ,extensive farming and lot more.
Organic farming is a method of crop and livestock production that involves much more than choosing not to use pesticides, fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, antibiotics and growth hormones.
It relies on fertilizers of organic origin such as compost, manure, green manure and bone meal and places emphasis on techniques such as crop rotation and companion planting.
Organic farming aims at-
1: Increasing long term soil fertility.
2: controlling pests and diseases without harming its production
3: To produce nutritious food and organic feed for animals
4: To produce high quality crops to sell at good prices.
There are 4 types of organic farming
1: Greenleaf manures
2: Crop rotation
3:Biological management
4:Animal husbandary
Inorganic farming
Inorganic farming is growing crops by using synthetic products such as pesticides and chemicals . It is also known as conventional farming.
There are many advantages of inorganic farming
1:Increasing the crop yield: it helps to produce higher yield of crops for farmers.
2: Making the crops more fruitful: Using genetically modified crops which not only help to save certain crops from extintion
But we know that a coin has two faces.Similarly with the advantages it has disadvantages too
1: It potentially harms the soil which means electrolyte inbalances, chemical toxins and eventually erosion
all occur because the same crop is being grown
On acres after acres of land.
2: Resistance eventually grows to the farming method.
Along with this we gained knowledge about various other farming methods being practised. I am very thankful to our principal, our school for giving us such opportunities.
